Prototype Information

60' flat car with Caterpillar front-end loader load.

Model Information

Stock 60' Intermountain flat car, weathered. I then added a Norscot Cat Front End Loader, and added chocks and chain ties.

There was a great article on a similar (but more involved) project, putting a dented tank car on a flat. I can't remember which magazine had it, but it was inspirational. If i can pick up an old MDC or Walthers tank on the cheap at a show, maybe I'll give that a try!
