I spend most of my modeling time working on rolling stock, which helps explain why I've never had a complete layout. There is just something mesmerizing about freight cars to me, a parade of color and variety. I also have enjoyed researching cars, and trying to re-create specific examples on my layout.
I have however in recent years started upgrading my locomotives, converting to DCC and sound. That's inspired me to do a bit more work on my power, weathering and adding some character to my fleet.
