Model Information

I started with an Atlas undecorated 3 bay covered hopper. I wanted to use some new weathering techniques, and decided to go with the sea-salt-mask. One thing to note: when using a very thin paint, the salt tended to run on me, creating a white-ish pool around where it was.

I based the weathering on this car:

And this is how it turned out:

Pretty happy with the result overall, though the sea-salt mask I'll have to work on a bit. Hairspray is also effective, and I'm going to try Mig Products' chipping fluids at some point as well.
